Being based in the south lakes I cover all over Southern Cumbria and North Lancashire for Weddings and Funerals. For celebration flowers I deliver more locally but delivery charges may apply. Please contact me to discuss I will look forward to hearing from you.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU REQUIRE FOR BOUQUET ORDERS?
As I do not have a typical store stocked full of flowers all the time, I do require as much notice as possible to all to order your flowers fresh from the supplier to create your order, so same day orders I may struggle to do.
WHERE CAN WE DISCUSS WEDDING OR FUNERAL FLOWERS.
My first priority is to make my customers comfortable when meeting me and discussing their needs. We can discuss your flowers at the cabin where I create my floral arrangements, if you prefer I can meet you at your home, we can even discuss over email or I can buy you a coffee! Please let me know what is best for you and I will happily accommodate.
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT TO OTHER FLORISTS IN THE AREA?
I am very lucky to be able to borrow a workshop over looking Lake Windermere from close family. This means I do not have overheads from owning a store, therefore I can reduce the price of my arrangements, therefore benefitting my customers.
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
5 years ago I starting my first job as an assistant florist for a year in which I learnt all the basic to develop my skills. Unfortunately I had a bad accident and floristry became a hobby but I have never stopped creating arrangements for friends and family! Now I am fully recovered and ready to go! My first assigment as a business is being a large wedding at Preston Court Kent. Alongside working and creating I am completing a floristry diploma! You do not need to be qualified to be a florist but this helps immensely and you learn all the skills you need, and as my old floristry master said “you never stop learning in floristry!”
DO I NEED AN IDEA OR DESIGN BEFORE OUR CONSULTATION?
I understand choosing flowers and styles for a wedding is tricky. And it is a very personal choice. It is good to have an idea in mind regarding style and perhaps colour, this can be through imaginings or a photo you could show me, but it isn’t absolutely necessary. I can talk to you about what it is you are thinking and we can discuss ideas. Also a good tip is have a think about flowers you don’t like so I can get your creation as perfect a can be!
